Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
This policy describes how EasyScale ("we", "us") collects and uses personal information when you visit our website or use the EasyScale platform (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — name, email address, and password (stored hashed) when you register, and profile details you add later.
- Site connections — credentials or tokens you provide so the Service can publish to your website or other platforms. These are stored to operate the Service on your behalf.
- Content and configuration — information about your product, the questions you track, and the content the Service drafts and publishes for you.
- Payment details — collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive subscription status and the card's last four digits; full card numbers never touch our servers.
- Messages — what you send us through the contact form, live chat, demo bookings, or email, along with your name and email so we can reply. Contact form and chat messages are processed by SupDesk, our support provider.
- Free tool submissions — the website URL and email you submit to tools such as the free SEO checker.
Information collected automatically
- Usage analytics — we use PostHog to understand how the Service is used: pages viewed, actions taken, referrer and UTM parameters, approximate location, IP address, and browser and device information. PostHog sets cookies and uses browser storage to recognize repeat visits, and when you sign in your activity is associated with your account email.
- Session replay — PostHog may record how pages are interacted with (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement) so we can fix problems and improve the product. Everything typed into form fields is masked before it leaves your browser and is not visible in recordings.
- Server logs — standard technical logs (IP address, request URL, timestamps) kept for security and debugging.
3. How we use information
- To provide and operate the Service, including generating and publishing content you request.
- To process payments, manage subscriptions, and send transactional messages such as receipts, reports, and service notices.
- To respond to messages and provide support.
- To understand usage, fix problems, and improve the product.
- To protect the Service against fraud and abuse, and to comply with law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
4. Cookies and analytics
The Service uses cookies and similar browser storage for two purposes: keeping you signed in (essential), and the PostHog analytics and session replay described above. Analytics data is sent through our own domain to PostHog. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the signed-in parts of the Service may not work without essential cookies. To have your analytics data deleted, contact us using the details below.
5. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under their own contractual obligations:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- PostHog — analytics and session replay (hosted in the United States).
- SupDesk — contact form and live chat.
- AI model providers (such as OpenAI, Google, and providers reached through OpenRouter) — the product information, questions, and drafts needed to generate your content and check AI answers are sent to these providers to perform that work.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — the servers and email services the Service runs on.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case this policy continues to apply to it).
6. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting records), and resolve disputes. When you delete your account or ask us to, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep it.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
You can access and update your account information in the Service. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below; we will respond within the time required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. Residents of the EU/UK: where the GDPR applies, our processing rests on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, and your consent where required, and you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
9. International transfers
The Service is operated from the United States, and the providers listed above store data primarily in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
10. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the date above; for material changes we will give additional notice, such as email or a notice in the Service.
12. Contact
